The long awaited debut CD from Mark Elliott entitled
The Transition is finally here. After much
planning, deliberating, praying and not to
mention, much composing and arranging, the
beautiful results of this production is well
worth the wait. Subtle piano, sweeping pads, warm
brass and pulsating rhythms saturate this
collection of original compositions from the
first track to the last. Self produced and
composed, the works contained in this offering
take you through a myriad of emotion and
imagination that nearly anyone can identify with
and enjoy. From the progressive sounds of the
title track to the energetic grooves of the
upbeat "Down To Business", to the chill tones of
the mellow "Fulfilled", this set offers up
something for every occasion. Influenced by
popular artists such as Brian Culbertson, Boney
James, Dave Koz, Jeff Lorber, Ronny Jordan, Joe
Sample and the like, Mark Elliott creatively uses
electronic instruments to produce well crafted
musical arrangements with all the color and cues
you'd come to expect.
